Builder: Sarah Constructions | Service: Floor Levelling & Concrete Remediation | Location: Adelaide, South Australia
Floortek was engaged by Sarah Constructions to remediate and retain an existing slab at Stradbroke Primary School ahead of new structure installation. The works required a precise, high-volume floor levelling pour across the full slab area to correct levels and provide a structurally sound substrate ready for the next construction phase.
Scope of Works
- Concrete remediation — assessment and preparation of the existing slab to identify and address any structural or surface deficiencies prior to levelling
- Scarification — mechanical scarification of the existing concrete slab to profile the substrate and ensure adhesion of the levelling compound
- Formwork installation — installation of formwork to contain and control the high-volume pour within each work zone
- High-volume floor levelling — cementitious floor leveller applied across the full slab area to correct levels to tolerance
- Slab retained in place — no slab removal required, avoiding demolition costs and programme delays
By retaining the existing slab through remediation rather than replacement, Floortek delivered a cost-effective and time-efficient outcome for the builder. The completed slab was handed over level, structurally sound, and ready for new structure above — keeping the project on programme for Sarah Constructions.
