Floortek completed an extensive and varied scope of waterproofing and flooring works on the SkyCity Adelaide Casino Expansion for principal contractor Hansen Yuncken. The project required multiple specialist systems across below-grade, wet area, back-of-house, and food service environments.

• Below-grade waterproofing to retaining walls using peel-and-stick products and bitumen torch-on membrane
• Waterproofing and screeding of planter boxes
• Epoxy mortar screeds to the base of the swimming pool
• Waterproofing to the outer shell of the swimming pool
• Sealing of all exposed back-of-house concrete areas
• Epoxy coatings to all trafficable back-of-house areas, including epoxy mortar cove skirtings
• Food-grade polyurethane cement floors to all bar and food areas

The breadth of systems on this project — from structural waterproofing through to food-safe floor finishes — required precise sequencing and close coordination with the main contractor throughout the build programme.
