Coles Victor Harbor is a 4,676m² full-line supermarket on the Fleurieu Peninsula — the first new Coles supermarket built in South Australia in over five years at the time of its completion. Delivered by Lanskey Constructions, the centre at 5 Adelaide Road, McCracken also includes Liquorland, The Reject Shop, and an F45 gym on a 2.4-hectare site directly adjoining Bunnings Warehouse.
Floortek was engaged by Lanskey Constructions to deliver flooring across both the public trading floor and the back-of-house production areas, with distinct systems specified for each zone:
Main Trading Floor
- Mechanically polished concrete — installed throughout the entire main trading floor, delivering a durable, premium finish suited to the high foot traffic demands of a full-line supermarket
Back-of-House — Production, Bakery & Preparation Areas
- Dust-proofing penetrating sealer — applied to all exposed concrete surfaces in back-of-house areas to eliminate concrete dust and meet food facility hygiene requirements
- Epoxy mortar screed to falls — laid across production, bakery, and food preparation areas to ensure positive drainage and compliance with food safety requirements
- Epoxy mortar cove skirtings — installed throughout back-of-house areas to create a seamless, fully hygienic floor-to-wall junction
- Polyurethane cement food-grade resin flooring — installed over the prepared substrate across all production and food preparation areas; the preferred system for food retail environments due to its thermal shock resistance, chemical resistance, and hygienic seamless finish
The combination of polished concrete on the trading floor and a complete food-grade wet area system in back-of-house reflects the full breadth of Floortek’s capabilities across a single commercial project — from premium aesthetics to heavy-duty food manufacturing compliance.
